The Dare

The art department for Paycheck required two high-tech computers for the opening credits, the “Arc” and the “Nexim.” Ben Affleck’s character reverse engineers one of them to create the second, upgraded one. This means:

  • The computer housings needed to be able to open up, showing internal circuitry
  • ‘Plug-n-play’ components were needed for close-up shots that had to integrate and be intricately detailed for the close-ups

The Outcome

Working with Iguana Design, we were able to conceptualize and develop 3D CAD models for production-ready parts. We also worked with Iguana developing and fabricating the two remote control units (including digital displays, level indicators and backlit buttons) used by Uma Thurman’s character in the film’s climax.
