Tigers + Dragons

The Dare

To create an informative, engaging exhibit for kids about the world’s two most populous cultures, China and India. The challenges:

  • Kids Around the World was a new, unknown and untried society looking for credibility
  • The concept alone had to generate financial support
  • This needed to be a travelling exhibition

  • Exhibit Type

    Children’s Exhibit
  • Client

    Kids Around The World
  • Duration

    August 2004 – 2006

The Outcome

Double Dare sunk its teeth in, with project management, research and content development, thematic and spatial planning, and exhibit design and detailing. The finished exhibit, which is adjustable in size, can be assembled without hand tools in six hours and disassembled in three. Children astound parents and staff alike with the level of engagement, averaging over an hour per visit, playing at some individual exhibits for over 45 minutes. The exhibit was purchased by the Manitoba Children’s Museum in 2007 and now travels to venues across Canada.

"I just wanted to let you know that we completed a fantastic week at the Children’s Festival! The kids LOVED it… the adults were enthused as well; it did just what we hoped – create a buzz."
